Beauty and Sophistication

Sophian Plaza is situated on an impressive site overlooking Southmoreland Park and the Nelson Atkins Museum. It stands as a masterpiece nestled within a neighborhood steeped in history. This luxe condominium boasts a unique and fascinating past, with some of the most storied families of Kansas City history.

Crafted in the Beaux Arts style, the building was meticulously designed by renowned architect Charles Shepard and features grand architectural details that have been carefully preserved.

Residents of the Sophian Plaza enjoy a collection of spacious and airy apartments, which offer breathtaking views of the museum grounds and sculpture gardens to the east and of the beloved Plaza shopping district and glorious fountain at Mill Creek Park to the west. The building boasts a magnificent marble lobby and imposing fireplace, as well as majestic colonnaded front courtyard and rear marble patio.

Beyond its own offerings, Sophian Plaza benefits from a vibrant surrounding neighborhood. Residents can easily access a diverse array of trendy restaurants, unique shops, and cultural attractions within the neighborhood. Within a short walk, our residents can sample the art of two remarkable museums, Plaza shopping and entertainment, Whole Foods grocery, and the KC Rep Theatre. Soon the Streetcar will open and will have a stop a short block from the building.

With its rich history and stunning architecture, the Sophian Plaza presents a unique and desirable living experience in the heart of Kansas City’s museum and Plaza district.
